“Excellence is not an act, it’s a habit” so said Aristotle.
So how do you make blogging a habit? Here are my top tips.
1. Focus on writing the blog post you’re writing. Don’t look too far ahead and stop worrying about what you’re going to write about next week/month/year.
2. If you don’t blog one week, don’t give it all up as a bad job! Just start again next week and write a blog post. Don’t apologise, don’t even give it another thought. After all, the only time you have to write is now: you can’t write in the past, or the future, only now.
3. Make writing your blog post an appointment in your diary, and prioritise it. The weeks I don’t do this are the weeks I end up blogging on a Friday because I haven’t done it, rather than blogging earlier in the week because I want to.
