Have you ever had something that you really wanted to do, but when you come to do it you’d made such a big deal of it that you didn’t know where to start? Built it into such a big deal in your head, that it became too overwhelming to even begin? I have.

For me, it’s writing a book. In my wildest dreams I’m an author and screenwriter. It’s what I envisage doing in every ‘where do you want to be in 5 years/10 years/at the end of your time here on earth’ conversations. So I’ve decided that instead of working towards it, I’m going to bloody well start doing it.

For the last couple of years I’ve been telling my coach that I’m going to write a book about blogging. Every time I tell her this, I get to the mapping-out stage, enter overwhelm, and shelve the project. Not this time. This time I’m not just telling my coach. This time I’m telling you too. And this book is going to happen, come hell or high water.

It’s the first stage of the ‘Sam Dounis: author’ plan, and I’m pretty excited about it. I know I’ve failed at this three times already, so I’m setting myself up for success by joining a writing club. The club is run by author, Justina Hart, and she has experience in a number of writing genres. I’ve also roped my coach into the ‘team’, and together we’ve come up with a few new ‘rules’ for me to follow. They are as follows:

1. Stop overthinking (this is supposed to be about writing, but it kind of applies to pretty much every area of my life!)
2. Write every day
3. Live the life I dream of now
4. Blog about anything and everything.

So what’s this got to do with you, I hear you cry! Well, there’s a role for you in this book if you want it. I think the best way to learn is through stories and other people’s experience, which is where you come in.

I’m offering you a coaching/mentoring session to bust through your blogging blocks, in return for me being able to talk about your experiences in my book. You can remain anonymous, or not, whichever you prefer. And if you’d just like to share your blogging experiences, and how your business has benefitted from blogging, I’d love to speak to you too. To book your free session, all you have to do is click on the link below and book your session on Skype.
